Project details
Treespace is a eco-focused development on the side of Mt Dewar in Tāhuna (Queenstown). the proposal includes 53 sites where s mixture of small footprint chalets (200m²) or cabins (100m²) will be constructed along with approximately 4km of roads.
The site had multiple complexities including having an average grade of 1:2 across the site, and having to provide water for each lot where there was a change in elevation of over 200m. in a joint effort between Geotago, Aurum, Maven, Patch Landscapes, and southern planning construction started in November 2022 with Monk earthworks and the main contractor.
This project is not a typical “squeeze them in” subdivision and has a huge reforestation part where there has been over 65000 native beech trees planted across the site.
