Fernleigh is zoned for light industrial. There are 32 lots under construction and has been tagged as the gateway to Waiuku. Stage 1A bulk Earthworks got off to a good start.
The development spans across 3 stages that stretch form Glenbrook Waiuku road to Kitchener and Waiuku roads. The site has some complex infrastructure to work through. The site will be undertaking 3.6km of Gravity wastewater. The site has the 33kv power line that feeds both the east and west of Waiuku. The site borders the Glenbrook vintage railway and Cornwall road. Cornwall road will be upgraded in the later stages and the design will also have to work in the vicinity of construction.
